The paper examines the India-Middle East-Europe Corridor (IMEC) within the broader context of global supply chain resilience. It highlights how the initiative is evolving from a transport corridor into a wider network of logistics, energy and digital connections linking India, the Middle East and Europe. The study assesses the current state of infrastructure development, the types of goods expected to benefit most from the corridor, future traffic estimates and the relationship between IMEC and other Eurasian connectivity projects. A specific focus is placed on Trieste and its potential role as a key European gateway thanks to its port capacity, strategic position within the TEN-T network and the economic opportunities that could derive for Italy.
